About the Role

This dual-role position within the CRR&A Assurance team supports Line 1 Risk for the CRR&A Portfolio while providing oversight and accountability across the end-to-end (E2E) value chain.

 

You will contribute to E2E risk assessments, change and event management, control design, and assurance activities. The role requires close engagement with key stakeholders to analyse risk and control data, identify anomalies and trends, and enhance data quality and integrity. A solid understanding of external risk factors and regulatory frameworks—including CPS 230, HIPS, and Amplified—is essential. You’ll also help strengthen risk capability, culture, and operational risk awareness across the organisation.

What will your day look like?

 

  • Lead risk workshops and develop practical risk solutions across multiple portfolios and stakeholder

 

  • Build and influence strong stakeholder relationships to uplift the E2E risk and control environment

 

  • Analyse and report risk and control data to generate meaningful insights and identify trends or hotspots

 

  • Support design and implementation of effective controls, including those aligned with CPS 230 and I.AM Amplified

 

  • Advise on and support thematic reviews, audits, and change risk assessments across portfolios or value chains

 

  • Guide the business in managing and reviewing risk profiles, including treatment plans and High/Extreme risk reviews

 

  • Maintain and enhance risk data quality in NFR Hub and coordinate associated reporting

 

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate controls to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

 

 

What will you bring?

  • Deep experience across the CR&R, retail distribution and product lifecycle to enable E2E oversight of value chain processes

 

  • Experience in risk management/ compliance; OR internal / external auditing

 

  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the E2E value chain (i.e., 4+ Portfolios) to develop effective operational risk management solutions

 

  • Able to develop and use analytical insights and data across the E2E value chain to identify opportunities to better balance risk with

 

  • customer propositions and help drive critical business decisions by analysing metrics, designing reports and writing risk submissions

 

  • A desire to create a thorough understanding of how our customers and bankers relate and react to embedding risk management in everyday activities

 

  • Willingness to look at things differently, effectively challenge the status quo and innovate the CRR Assurance solutions and service provided to the Retail Division

 

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build relationships across the value chain through a collaborative approach
