About the Role

 

As the FAR Implementation Manager for ANZ Staff Super, you’ll play a key role in designing and implementing governance practices that will embed the Financial Accountability Regime across the organisation.  This will ensure strong governance, compliance with regulatory obligations and adherence to industry best practice.

Role Type: 9 Month Secondment/Fixed Term contract
Role Location: Melbourne
Work Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week

 

What will your day look like?

 

As the FAR Implementation Manager, you are accountable for:

 

  • Overseeing the fund’s implementation and ongoing compliance with FAR obligations, ensuring clear accountability mapping for Accountable Persons (APs) in accordance with APRA and ASIC requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining the Accountability Map to ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities for Directors and senior executives.
  • Establishing processes to ensure the fund meets FAR reporting requirements, including breach reporting and attestation obligations.
  • Providing expert guidance and training to Accountable Persons, ensuring they fully understand their obligations and the potential consequences of non-compliance.
  • Working with the Head of Risk and Governance and external advisors to seamlessly integrate FAR requirements into the broader risk and governance framework.
  • Engaging with APRA and ASIC on FAR related matters, ensuring proactive communication and compliance.
  • Collaborating closely with ANZ’s FAR specialist team to maintain alignment with ANZ’s FAR approach

 

What will you bring?

 

To be successful in the role, you will ideally have the following experiences, knowledge, and skills:

  • Experience in governance, risk or compliance experience within superannuation, financial services or related sectors
  • Strong understanding of Australian superannuation legislation and regulations
  • Experience engaging effectively with regulators
  • Experience implementing FAR (or similar) within a regulated entity
  • Demonstrated ability to design, document and embed accountability frameworks
  • Excellent communication, analytical and policy development skills
  • Proven experience preparing high-quality Board papers and governance reporting
