About the Role

 

As Executive Assistant to the Chief Internal Audit Executive, you will provide high-level administrative, operational and governance support to ensure the effective running of the Internal Audit Office.You will act as a trusted partner, managing priorities, coordinating key activities, and supporting the Group Executive to operate efficiently in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.

What will your day look like?

 

As an Executive Assistant, you are accountable for:

 

  • Managing the day-to-day operation of the Group Executive, Internal Audit's office, including calendar management, travel arrangements, meeting coordination and the prioritisation of competing business commitments.
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact for senior stakeholders across the business, building strong relationships and ensuring timely, professional communication on behalf of the Group Executive.
  • Preparing and coordinating high-quality executive correspondence, presentations, briefing papers, agendas and materials for leadership, executive and Board-related forums.
  • Supporting Internal Audit governance activities, including coordinating reporting cycles, tracking actions, maintaining key schedules and ensuring important deliverables are completed on time.
  • Managing operational and people-related administration, including expenses, invoice processing, recruitment activities, onboarding, organisational changes and record management in line with ANZ policies and compliance requirements.
  • Exercising sound judgement, discretion and confidentiality while supporting the Group Executive and Internal Audit Leadership Team, ensuring sensitive information is managed with the highest level of professionalism.

 

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

 

  • Extensive experience providing Executive Assistant support to senior executives, Group Executives or Executive Committee members.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to build credible relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting governance activities, executive forums, Board committees or highly regulated business functions.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative.
  • Strong judgement, professionalism and the ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation of executive-level documentation and presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, quality and compliance.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Teams.
  • The ability to work autonomously, remain resilient under pressure and adapt to changing business priorities.
