About the Role

As an Engineer, supporting the Data Enablement stream within ANZx, your mission is to build dynamic data solutions to support all modalities of data for a range of use cases.   

Your key accountabilities will include: 

• Building an automated and scalable data platform in a cloud environment 

• Building supporting systems for our data solutions – user interfaces, APIs, developer tooling, shared libraries 

• Serving as the primary point of contact for the applications you develop during business hours 

What will your day look like?

Working in an agile framework with a team of engineers to deliver data solutions including:  

• Developing applications that facilitate the implementation of data mesh, encompassing tasks such as data product registration, metadata management, and the ingestion, transformation, and consumption of data products 
• Executing cloud infrastructure automation, streamlining development processes, and enhancing data mesh implementation innovatively 
• Building optimised data solutions with considerations for security and data governance  
• Building data pipelines and a real-time data ecosystem to provide interactive customer experiences that will feed data into other systems via multiple interface types 
• Follow and contribute to data architecture standards for applications and infrastructure across the team  

Positive attitude to collaborate across teams and functions, while willing to influence and negotiate mutually beneficial partnerships with key stakeholders 

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: 

• Cloud-based data and software engineering experience in OOP in at least one programming language 

• Proven success building user interfaces and improving user experience  

• Positive outcomes working with Infrastructure as Code and DevOps 

• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and business teams 

• Keen interest in technology and a passion to learn
