About the Role

As a Pricing Engineer in our pricing COE team, you’ll play a key role in supporting broader Pricing CoE Team in achieving their pricing strategy objective delivering an exceptional customer proposition and ANZ’s financial objectives.  As a Pricing Engineer you will be working closely with other Pricing squads on various initiatives and process enhancements and automation.  An important part of the job is support and maintenance of Home Loan and Term Deposit microservices and the new feature development.

What will your day look like?

As an Engineer, you will be accountable to:
 

  • API design
  • Web development
  • Workflow design
  • Coding of new features and improvement of code
  • Automated testing of features
  • Code deployment and feature activation.
  • Improving CI/CD pipelines
  • Improving team processes
  • Developing and running ETL jobs
  • Rate and other changes for TDPIQ and HLPIQ apps.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Hands on experience with Cloud hosted applications built with Terraform, Python, and Shell scripting.
  • Experience with end-to-end modern development practices such as CI/CD, using tooling such as Github, Docker, CodeFresh, Kubernetes etc.
  • Good analytical and logical reasoning skills.
  • Good programming background in Python and Web development and advanced knowledge of Database Systems and SQL
  • A desire to write tools and applications to automate work rather than doing things manually.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the key stakeholders and identify and engage with new stakeholders to expand the team’s influence and reach.
  • Collaborate with senior team leads to define and implement strategic objectives that align with CoE vision and goals.  
  • Working knowledge of Confluence, Jira, Service Now, etc.
