About the Role
Our Financial Institutions Group is our largest Institutional sector globally and is a priority growth area for ANZ.
This is a senior role that offers an opportunity to join the high performing and collaborative Financial Institutions Group. The Funds sector team covers all Fund types including Superannuation, Sovereign Wealth, Financial Sponsors, Real Money plus fund service providers including Administrators, Custodians and Superannuation Clearing. This providing a unique entire Funds ecosystem coverage model.
The role will be responsible for coordinating our Superannuation segment growth strategy which is a priority initiative for ANZ. The role will be accountable for leading strategic relationships for a diverse portfolio of funds clients, driving commercial outcomes, and orchestrating cross-functional and regional/global alignment, to deliver superior client outcomes and sustained, risk-adjusted growth.

Role Type: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)
What will your day look like?
- Coordinate ANZ’s Superannuation sector strategy, translating the broader segment strategy into clear priorities, client focus areas, and actionable growth initiatives, and deliver outcomes.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of priority funds clients, building deep, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and positioning the bank as a strategic partner.
- Develop and execute account strategies, identifying opportunities to deepen relationships, expand share of wallet, and drive sustainable revenue growth.
- Originate and progress complex deal opportunities, working closely with product partners and other specialist sector coverage teams to deliver tailored, end-to-end solutions across Corporate Finance, Markets, and Transaction Banking.
- Maintain strong portfolio discipline, including proactive credit management, risk identification, and adherence to all Credit Risk and Non-Financial Risk (NFR) requirements.
- Collaborate across ANZ’s global network, ensuring coordinated coverage and leveraging international capabilities where relevant to client needs.
- Contribute to team performance and culture, supporting team member development and fostering collaboration across the bank.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Deep expertise in Funds and Superannuation, with a strong understanding of market structure, key players, and emerging trends.
- Proven large Institutional client relationship management capability, including experience engaging senior stakeholders and building a credible market profile.
- Track record of origination and delivery of complex banking solutions, working across multiple product areas and regions.
- Sound commercial acumen, including the ability to identify growth opportunities and optimise risk-adjusted returns within a portfolio.
- Strong risk capability, across the spectrum of credit risk and non-financial risk.
- Highly developed stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate complex, multi-touch client environments.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, with a drive to continuously build expertise and contribute to broader segment success.
