About the Role

As a Digital Channels Assurance Manager, you will be a specialist responsible for supporting Digital Delivery teams in fulfilling their risk management responsibilities. The role provides assurance across both build and run activities within Digital Strategy, Delivery and Design Management across Retail digital channels. You will drive improvements in the control environment and ensure digital risks and regulatory obligations are proactively identified and managed.

The role is accountable for designing and executing control testing, informing risk profiling, and coordinating remediation activities, while working closely with stakeholders to embed strong governance across digital platforms and customer‑facing technologies.

Key accountabilities include:

• Partnering with the business to develop a strong understanding of needs and priorities, ensuring operational, technology and compliance controls are embedded from the outset.
• Supporting SCFE initiatives through Non‑Financial Risk Assessments of features and deliverables, aligned to program milestones, and providing assurance over digital delivery and design.
• Acting as a key member of a multidisciplinary risk enablement team that approaches risk and compliance differently, delivers practical risk solutions, and operates as a trusted partner to the program.
• Facilitating effective governance of key risk elements across relevant teams, empowering teams to self‑assess, identify issues, and remediate proactively.

What will your day look like?

As a Digital Channels Assurance Manager, you will:

• Partner with the Value Stream Lead, Product Owners and your NFR Advisory & Controls colleagues in the identification, assessment and management of risks and issues.
• Bringing creativity by challenging what’s possible whilst keeping the safety and financial wellbeing of our customers at our core.
• Develop a strong understanding of the teams needs and priorities to ensure risk and compliance is built into feature design.
• Embedding risk awareness and escalation and recording of risk information as needed.
• Risk & Controls Assessment – ensuring consistent documentation of risk information for both delivery and introduced risk.
• Compliance Management - demonstrating compliance with obligations.
• Reporting – enhancing risk reporting and ensuring material decisions are captured.
