Delivery Lead, Enablement (12-Month FTC)

Req ID:  119813
Department:  Tech Strategy & Execution Technology Business Mana
Division:  Technology
Location:  Melbourne

About Us

At ANZ, we're shaping a world where people and communities thrive, driven by a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.

About the Role

Fortify is a major regulatory program responding to significant reforms in the financial crime and external fraud landscape, including changes to AML/CTF laws, the new Scams Prevention Framework and expanded sanctions regimes.  As part of our Program, we’re transforming how we manage Financial Crime risk globally, delivering innovative, scalable and compliant solutions that help protect our customers, communities and the Bank.

The program’s Technology Enablement function sits at the centre of this transformation, spanning the Fortify value streams — Foundation, Customer Due Diligence, Monitoring & Detection, Transfers & Reporting, and Prevent, Disrupt & Respond. As the Delivery Lead, Enablement (Technology), you’ll play a pivotal role in turning complex, value stream led demand into clear, prioritised and delivery-ready work. You’ll partner across business, technology, architecture, portfolio and delivery teams to shape the right outcomes, support smart sequencing and funding decisions, and help accelerate change in one of the Bank’s most important risk and transformation agendas.

Banking is changing and we’re changing with it, giving our people great opportunities to try new things, learn and grow. Whatever your role at ANZ, you’ll be building your future, while helping to build ours.

Role Type: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract
Role Location: Melbourne or Brisbane
Work Hours: Full-Time

What will your day look like?

As the Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage the intake of new and changed technology demand, making sure requests are clear, complete and ready for review.
  • Work with stakeholders to clarify scope, outcomes, urgency, dependencies, risks and delivery considerations.
  • Facilitate triage, prioritisation and trade-off discussions across business / value streams, technology, architecture, portfolio and delivery teams.
  • Assess demand against strategic alignment, risk or regulatory drivers, customer impact, delivery readiness and available capacity.
  • Maintain a transparent demand backlog, including status, ownership, decisions, dependencies and next steps.
  • Coordinate estimation, solutioning and planning inputs so demand can move into the right planning and governance forums.
  • Prepare clear packs, dashboards and updates to support prioritisation, planning and decision-making.
  • Develop and continuously improve demand management processes, templates and rhythms to create better flow and visibility.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Experience in technology demand, portfolio, planning, delivery, business analysis or technology enablement roles.
  • A strong understanding of how requirements move through technology planning, prioritisation, estimation, funding and delivery.
  • Confidence working with ambiguity and turning early-stage demand into structured, decision-ready information.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and align teams around priorities and trade-offs, as well as manage expectations.
  • Organisational awareness and strong relationships with Technology owners
  • Highly organised, analytical and detail-focused, with the ability to manage competing priorities and timeframes.
  • Excellent communicator, translating complex information into clear, concise messages for different audiences.
  • Experience preparing dashboards, backlog views, governance packs or planning artefacts that support clear decision-making within ANZ’s change policy
  • Commercial and strategic thinking, understanding business priorities, value drivers, constraints and the broader organisational context.
  • Facilitation leading workshops, discovery sessions, prioritisation discussions and decision forums.
  • Business analysis mindset to clarify needs, outcomes, scope, dependencies and success measures.
  • Team management of the enablement - demand function
  • A collaborative, pragmatic and outcomes-focused approach, with a passion for bringing structure to complexity.
  • Exposure to agile delivery, portfolio tooling, technology governance or risk and regulatory delivery environments would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, MS Sharepoint, and Project tooling
