About the Role
The Data Quality Lead plays a pivotal role in uplifting ANZ’s enterprise-wide data quality capability and embedding consistent data management practices across divisions, working closely with stakeholders at all levels.
The role focuses on developing practical processes, guidance, tooling and support materials that enable divisions to embed data quality practices into end-to-end operations and critical data sets. It will partner closely with the central NFR Frameworks team to ensure that data quality issue identification, raising, management and reporting aligns to the broader Non-Financial Risk Framework in a way that is proportionate and sustainable for business execution. This role works closely with divisional data leads and control owners to uplift capability, drive consistency and strengthen enterprise visibility of data quality performance, ensuring outcomes are embedded and sustainable.

What will your day look like?
- Partnering with divisional data leads, risk teams and SMEs to embed effective data quality practices within end-to-end business processes and critical data sets.
- Developing, maintaining and uplifting practical processes, guidance, tools and support materials that enable consistent and sustainable data quality management across divisions.
- Working with the central NFR Frameworks team to co-design and continuously improve mechanisms for identifying, raising, managing and reporting data quality issues, ensuring alignment with the broader Non-Financial Risk Framework and RTO expectations.
- Contributing to the interpretation and practical application of enterprise data quality policy and standards so they are workable for business-owned processes and systems
- Supporting the design and delivery of enterprise data quality reporting and metrics to provide consistent visibility of performance, trends and risks.
- Creating insightful and action-oriented content, including facilitating senior stakeholder forums, communications and knowledge-sharing, to drive alignment, capability uplift and consistent application of data quality practices across ANZ.
- Supporting broader Data Management Office initiatives that strengthen enterprise-wide data governance, collaboration and continuous improvement.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
- Experience embedding data-quality and governance practices across business processes and critical data sets.
- Ability to develop and maintain practical guidance, tools and materials that make data-quality management consistent and sustainable.
- Proven capability to partner with risk and frameworks teams to improve how data-quality issues are identified, raised, managed and reported in line with the Non-Financial Risk Framework and RTO expectations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable guidance for the business.
- Experience influencing and engaging senior stakeholders to drive alignment and uplift data-quality capability across divisions.
