The Data Privacy Analyst will report to the Data Regulation Lead in Data & Technology Risk.  In this role you will be involved with the Data Impact Assessments (DIA) – including Privacy Impact Assessments process where you will assist business units across all divisions at ANZ to identify and manage privacy risks.  You will become a specialist in global privacy regimens (GDPR, PIPL) and other global data regulations.  You will  develop capabilities within divisions to support the development of record management schedules.  You will work closely with our colleagues in the divisional teams. You will work with wide range of stakeholders from compliance, legal, risk, assurance, procurement, in-country teams and technology.  In this role you will support a wide variety of initiatives types from small once off data use cases to the implementation of ANZs largest data platforms and their multi-faceted data uses.  You will be involved in the continual uplift of our process and tools to ensure the DIA and record management tools cover new privacy regulations, polices/standards, is efficient, robust, auditable and meets the demands of its users.

  • Possess good awareness and knowledge of privacy and data regulations (Australian and other jurisdictions) and polices/standards relating to privacy.
  • Ability to work with and lead stakeholders on the implementation of process and tool improvements.
  • Have experience in either Data Governance, Operational Risk Management, Assurance, Compliance or Audit.
  • Ability to methodically work through the data impacts of new initiatives and identify and define privacy/data risks and treatments
  • Experience working within an agile environment.
  • Possess a strong execution mindset; Can adapt quickly and are able to manage multiple activities in accordance with delivery requirements and timelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes at all levels of the business.
  • A team player. You recognise and value the different perspectives and skills your colleagues bring.
