The Data Governance Manager role is critical to making this happen and will help support Talent and Culture (HR) in how data is organised, managed and leveraged within the Talent & Culture (T&C) function in order to meet current and future requirements. You will support the T&C function with assessment, education, delivery and implementation of Data Governance risk as it forms part of the ANZ Risk Framework.

 

The role is part of the broader T&C Risk and Assurance team and is a central point of contact for the whole of T&C. There will be required collaborating with colleagues from the Group Enterprise Data Risk team (Data risk framework owners) and the business to shape and deliver a portfolio of initiatives (implement document storage, record management, privacy and ethical data use) and BAU work.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Managing the assessment of T&C data use in initiatives across the Enterprise (data management, privacy, ethics and data regulation such as GDPR);
  • Taking the lead in T&C initiatives and providing the data risk requirements to ensure a solid data foundation, upcoming initiatives include implement document storage, support design of role-based permission, record management requirements across systems and data held by vendors) working closely with individual departments in T&C and Technology;
  • Managing data quality issues from triage, communicating to accountability parties, planning to uplift.

 

Role Location: This role may be undertaken in any of the following locations: Australia, New Zealand, India, or the Philippines

Role Type: Permanent, Full-time 40hrs/week 

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Strong communication skills, you will need to be able to liaise with all levels in the organisation and translate technical Data Governance risk requirements that can be easily understood and actionable by the business.
  • Experience in working and delivery data analysis, understand why governing data is important and the potential impacts when it is not reliable.
  • Effective stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted advisory relationships across an organisation.
  • Flexibility in your thinking and approach to achieve business outcomes.
  • Experience in banking and or HR is preferred.
