About the Role

The role sits within our Data Portfolio in the Australia Retail Division. Information Management & Architecture is charged with transforming the AR&C division, bringing “best in class data” capability to the division.

The role will require you to combine your experience analysis and processes as well as your data skills in order to execute data management capabilities in the Division to achieve data driven outcomes. Your role will be critical in supporting the team and business with data management

What will your day look like?

As a Data Governance Analyst, you will be accountable for:

• Supporting our team and stakeholders to achieve compliance and Customer and Banker outcomes where data underpins the requirement

• Help drive innovative outcomes into the division and challenging the status quo whilst understanding the regulatory requirements of the Bank

• Mapping and cataloguing data elements and data assets and addressing any data quality shortcomings identified in our divisions data

• Addressing data quality issues and driving remediation activities and execution

• Analysing and ensuring data aspects are a key part of process and system evolution, including partnering in the delivery of solutions in collaboration with the business, technology and initiative teams

• Delivering against committed milestones

• Support/identify and address constraints that hinder progress, escalating as appropriate

• Ensure ANZ's core values are always maintained in dealing with staff, colleagues and customers.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Work collaboratively with team and within our Division, as well with our partners in the Portfolio, Data, Technology, Risk, and within other divisions.

• Apply data management principle to make sure data is accurate and of quality

• Help ensure data is organised, managed and leveraged within division in like with data policy and standards

• Support multiple tribes in Australia Retail with the delivery of data outcomes – including understanding requirements, analysing and supporting process and process evolution resulting in high quality data.

• Mapping and cataloguing data elements and data assets and addressing any data quality shortcomings identified in our Divisions data

• Manage activities and issues to drive business value with data as a focus
