This Data Engineer role sits within the Business Owners Engagement tribe. Our tribe missions is to deepen our customer engagement by better anticipating and addressing the customer needs powered by ‘Data’ in an agile working environment.

What will your day look like
- Working on mix of traditional and modern technology stack -
- Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop Big Data, Cloudera data science workbench (CDSW), Python, Spark, Openshift, Kafka event streaming, Google cloud platform (GCP), and more…
- Working in tandem with an elite team of fellow Data engineers to –
- Build data pipelines that lays foundation and supports the tribe mission following established patterns
- Collaborate with other Data Chapter members like Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Dashboard developers, Campaign developers to serve their needs of accurate, complete, reliable and relevant Data
- Innovate and explore new patterns where existing patterns don’t suffice via driving and demonstrating Proof of Concept (PoC)
- Consult across the organisation to understand problems and opportunities, focusing on broader impacts and bigger picture.
- Data Mapping, Data Modelling, building Data warehouse and performing Data Wrangling
What will you bring?
- Strong experience in designing robust, fault-tolerant data pipeline for data ingestion, integration, and analytic layers on a variety of technologies
- Data Mapping, Data Modelling, Data Warehouse/ Data Mart Build and enhancements
- Experience working with both legacy and modern, on & off prem platforms and technologies
- Technology stack-
- Must have - SQL (Teradata/SQL server/Oracle/ Big Query), Python, Spark, Scheduling (control-M/Skybot)
- Nice to have- Knime, Cloudera Data science workbench (CDSW), Airflow, Trino, Superset, Prometheus, Grafana, Data lake, Real-time streaming data(Kafka), GCP (BigQuery, Google Composer)
- Innovator, problem solver, out-of-the-box thinking
- Working in Agile environment or continuous delivery teams
- MS or BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent practical experience in Data Engineering
