About the Role
As a Control-M Engineer, you will be responsible for enhancing capabilities within the Engineering area, contributing to the development of squad members, and improving our work processes at ANZ. As a squad member, you will play a key role in achieving the squad’s mission by administering, designing, building, testing, and supporting the Control-M Batch Scheduling tool to ensure the best customer experience.

What will your day look like?
Financial:
- Utilise standardised reports to analyse and include insight on decisions that will drive optimisation and process improvements
- Provide input into estimates of effort (cost) involved in conducting Control-M based system analysis for an enhancement or project
- Contribute to enhancement or project objectives with a high level of quality and within the agreed cost and time
- Consider costs, review processes and make suggestions for more cost effective solutions within the Control-M landscape
Customer:
- Upskilling for delivering an exceptional customer experience using insights from customer feedback
- Liaise with the customers to elicit system specifications
- Identify and raise issues with the business’s workflow orchestration (Control-M) requirements
- Develop and nurture relationships with stakeholders to ensure that all activities and plans are developed and implemented with the customer in mind
- Represent Technology in a professional manner
- Provide consultation to customers as a scheduling SME of Control-M
Process:
- As required, document business requirements into technical workflow orchestration (Control-M) specifications using templates and specified methodology
- Documentation of Control-M related systems and processes, including storing evidence for Controls and
Audit
- Identify and implement workflow orchestration (Control-M) system and process improvement
- Provide effective and efficient operating options
- Provide automated scheduling solutions using Control-M
- Administration of Control-M
What will you bring?
- 5 – 7-year Experience typically focused on workflow orchestration (Control-M) Tooling.
- Minimum 4 years as a Control-M administrator in global environments
- Very good Control-M Administrator skills and knowledge of Control-M Architecture
- Good programming / scripting skills, e.g. Unix shell scripting, windows scripting, JSON, REXX
- Good communication skills and ability to engage and work with other ANZ teams
- Experience with mainframe systems: Proficient in JCL, TSO/ISPF, and IBM and Control-M mainframe utilities
- Proficient in code management practices, including experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub.
- Good knowledge in integrations, APIs within the workflow orchestration (Control-M) landscape
- Knowledge and use of ANZ internal processes, e.g. incident, change. ADF
- Good knowledge in three of the following platforms, Unix, Windows, Mainframe, Cloud or SME in at least two
