The Central Compliance team supports ANZ’s management of its domestic licensing obligations, with a particular focus on Australian Financial Services Licence and Australian Credit Licence requirements across ANZ entities. 

About the Role

As the Manager, Central Compliance - Licensing, you will manage and monitor ANZ’s compliance with domestic licensing obligations, particularly its Australian Financial Services Licence and Australian Credit Licence requirements. 

You will oversee licensing frameworks, regulatory submissions and documentation, while supporting effective governance and the management of licensing-related risks. You will also act as a key point of contact for stakeholders across Legal, Risk, Compliance and the business.

What will your day look like?

As a Manager, Central Compliance - Licensing, you will be accountable for:

• Managing and monitoring ANZ’s compliance with domestic licensing obligations, with a focus on Australian Financial Services Licence and Australian Credit Licence requirements. 
• Supporting ongoing compliance with regulatory conditions, reporting obligations and licence-specific requirements across relevant entities. 
• Establishing, maintaining and continuously improving licensing frameworks, policies and procedures. 
• Implementing controls to identify, assess and mitigate licensing-related risks. 
• Leading and managing Australian Financial Services Licence submissions and interactions with regulators on behalf of ANZ BGL entities. 
• Overseeing the preparation, review and timely submission of licence applications, variations, and regulatory notifications. 
• Maintaining accurate and current licensing records, including licence conditions, registers, attestations and supporting evidence. 
• Ensuring licensing documentation is audit-ready and meets regulatory expectations. 
• Providing licensing advice and support to Legal, Risk, Compliance and business stakeholders. 
• Building effective relationships with regulators and external advisers where required. 

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications.  
• Substantial financial services experience in legal, compliance or audit roles. 
• Extensive knowledge of licensing obligations and practices. 
• Experience working with banking products and processes. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with close attention to detail. 
• The ability to build open, collaborative working relationships with senior stakeholders. 
• People leadership experience. 
• Strong communication, influencing, critical thinking, consultancy and stakeholder management capabilities. 
• Broad organisational knowledge and networks that support effective information gathering. 
• Experience developing and improving governance processes would be advantageous.
