About the Role

As a Senior Change Manager within the Chief Transformation Office, you will lead the people side of change for the most significant reforms to Financial Crime & External Fraud risk in Australia. You are accountable for the end-to-end design, planning and delivery of change management activities that ensure impacted teams are prepared, supported and able to successfully adopt and sustain change.

The role operates with a high degree of independence and is responsible for leading change outcomes across a project, initiative or major workstream. You will partner with senior business stakeholders, delivery leaders and program teams to manage people impacts, drive business readiness and embed sustainable change that delivers measurable outcomes.

You will make day-to-day change delivery decisions, provide recommendations on complex issues and escalate where required. You will also mentor and coach less experienced change practitioners while contributing to the ongoing development of ANZ's change management capability.

What will your day look like?

As a Change Manager, you are accountable for:

  • Lead end-to-end change delivery, developing and executing change strategies, plans, and roadmaps.
  • Assess organisational impacts, change readiness, and business requirements to support successful implementation.
  • Identify and manage change risks, issues, dependencies, and adoption barriers.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders, sponsors, stakeholders, and project teams to drive alignment and commitment.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, communications, learning, and business readiness activities.
  • Drive adoption, behavioural change, and embedding of new ways of working to achieve sustainable outcomes.
  • Monitor adoption, readiness, and benefits realisation, and recommend actions to improve outcomes.
  • Facilitate workshops, decision-making, and governance activities to support delivery objectives.
  • Provide regular reporting on change progress, risks, issues, and readiness to project and governance forums.
  • Ensure compliance with ANZ frameworks, methodologies, and governance standards.
  • Coach and mentor change practitioners, promote best practices, and contribute to building organisational change capability.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • 7+ years' experience in change management, organisational change or transformation delivery.
  • Financial Crime knowledge and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading medium-sized projects or major workstreams end-to-end.
  • Strong capability across stakeholder engagement, impact assessment, communications, learning and readiness.
  • Ability to independently manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in complex environments.
  • Strong influencing, facilitation and consulting skills.
  • Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and navigate complex organisational environments.
  • Experience delivering business, technology, regulatory or operating model change.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
  • Experience managing change risks and adoption outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing junior practitioners
