About the Role
The Category Manager will be responsible for managing ANZ’s Property category and sub-categories, overseeing the sourcing of that category, focusing on the long-term direction of the category and the achievement of strategic goals.
Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008
Work Hours: Full time, 40 hrs/week
What will your day look like?
As the Property Category Manager, you will be accountable for:
- Managing the development and execution of Property category strategies, ensuring alignment with business needs and objectives.
- Overseeing and execute the strategic sourcing of the category end to end.
- Undertaking data-driven analysis of spending patterns, market trends, industry benchmarks and supplier capabilities to inform category strategies and category profiles as well as drive continuous improvements.
- Identifying and managing commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, ethical and supply chain risks to minimise negative impacts on category objectives while encouraging opportunity and innovation.
- Tracking category and sub-category performance, leveraging data-driven analysis to identify gaps and implement corrective actions to ensure that targets for cost savings, quality and service are met.
- Overseeing and/or contributing to end-to-end sourcing for assigned sub-categories, collaborating with the Strategic Sourcing Team to plan contract negotiations and establish supply arrangements that align with category strategy and deliver value for money outcomes.
- Partnering with Supplier Relationship Management team to build and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure reliable and sustainable partnerships.
- Providing governance, advice and guidance to internal stakeholders to build expertise in procurement categories across ANZ.

- Proven leadership – experience leading complex, high-value strategic sourcing initiatives within financial services or similarly regulated industries.
