About the Role
Customer Tax Transparency (CTT) is a specialised team that governs regulations and requirements to ensure ANZ meets the standards required under Automatic Exchange of Information (AEOI) laws
The CTT Risk Coverage Partner will be primarily responsible for L1 Statutory Reporting & Tax (SRT) and L2 AEOI-CTT risk theme responsibilities at a CTT and ANZ division level. Leading operational risk management practices, regulatory compliance oversight and supporting the I.AM Amplified Program rollout and Non-Financial Risk (NFR) framework in a BAU capacity

What will your day look like?
As a CTT Risk Coverage Partner, you are accountable for:

Understanding the regulatory content related to the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and the Common Reporting Standard (CRS)
-
Liaising with the respective divisional risk officers and Line 1 Business Governance & Control (BG&C) leads for the division for the adoption of the I.AM Amplified Program and ongoing management of the AEOI-CTT L2 risk theme under the NFR Framework, including obligations and control objectives management as a divisional risk partner

Reviewing and validating the AEOI-CTT risk assessment, and preparation of clearly articulated mitigation strategies and risk management reports for the Head of Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC)

Monitoring and managing of regulatory compliance issues and interactions, assessing risk events for compliance breaches and regulatory disclosures for the respective division

Reviewing and validating control assessments, calibration, testing, preparation of control attestations for AEOI-CTT L2 risk theme, and overseeing the divisional control environment effectiveness for the Head of GRC and Country Risk Theme Officer (CRTO)

Reviewing and validating control gap analysis and remediation approach, providing relevant information to key risk governance forums and committees, ensuring divisional stakeholders are informed, remediations are tracking until closure, and preparing any facts and data for regulatory disclosures

Reviewing, validating and approving Non-Financial Risk Assessments (NFRA) and Change Risk Materiality Assessments (CRMA) that impact AEOI-CTT L2 risk theme regarding operational risks introduced as part of changes

Engagement and collaboration with senior divisional risk and compliance stakeholders across the organisation, by acting as a divisional risk partner for relevant business areas and ANZ jurisdictions
What will you bring?

Extensive experience working across small and large teams/projects with internal and external business stakeholders

Experience in governance, risk and compliance

Demonstrated experience in operational risk management practices such as risk assessment and remediation, and control assessment and remediation

Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance oversight such as monitoring and maintaining regulatory issues and interactions, and assessment of risk events for compliance breaches and regulatory disclosures

Strong risk awareness and critical thinking to drive better outcomes that protect our customers, stakeholders, and ANZ
-
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn data and technical information into business insights
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence outcomes at all levels and build solid relationships with senior stakeholders

Excellent management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects to meet deadlines

Displays solid judgement in problem solving and decision making within a complex and fast paced environment

Ability to work with a technically complex program, whilst maintaining a regulatory, customer and banker lens

Comfort with managing simultaneous initiatives and priorities

Comfort with uncertainty and changing priorities, and a high level of self-motivation and initiative
