About the Role
As a National Deposits Business Banking Manager, you will manage a portfolio of business customers through a remote service proposition, engaging them via phone, video, and digital channels. You will support existing customers with their deposit, liquidity, and cash‑management needs by providing timely, proactive, and high‑quality service. Your role focuses on delivering strong customer outcomes, identifying opportunities to deepen relationships, and ensuring each customer receives consistent support without the need for human interaction.
You will contribute directly to our strategic pillars Customer Experience, Staff Experience, and Well Managed by maintaining a disciplined approach to portfolio management, risk awareness, and customer engagement. With the customer experience at the centre of everything you do, you will help strengthen our remote offering and ensure we remain a trusted partner for businesses across Australia.

What will your day look like?
As a Business Banking Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Participating in high volume inbound and structured leads-based outbound calling
- Providing high quality customer service to a wide and diverse range of customers in a team-based managed portfolio
- The retention and growth of existing customers
- Understanding customer ambitions and help them realise their business growth and development goals.
- Contributing to a high performing team culture and environment based on high collaboration and rapid customer solutioning.
- Meeting assigned performance targets across the balanced scorecard.
- Engaging with existing small business customers
- Management of a team-based customer portfolio
- Effective collaboration with Lighthouse & CSO enablement teams
- Maintaining deep knowledge of the ANZ product suite to ensure customers are recommended appropriate solutions.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Relationship Management: Building, maintaining and influencing relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
- Portfolio Management: The selection, prioritisation and management of a portfolio of work/and or customers in line with its strategic objectives and capacity to deliver. The goal is to balance change initiatives and business-as-usual while optimising return on investment.
- Customer Solutioning: Supporting customers by understanding their needs and informing them about relevant products or services, and/or providing considered options, that meet those needs.
- Credit Assessment and Management: Assessing, advising, monitoring and/or approving a customer's credit worthiness, credit risk and suitable credit structuring options based on internal credit policies, guidelines, scoring models and/or applying judgement based on prior experience and knowledge.
- Data Analysis: Collecting, profiling and analysing data to translate into meaningful insights to inform business decisions and deliver customer solutions.
