About the Role
As a Business Analyst within Cross Product Platform, your team’s mission is to focus on improving the customer experience through defining, and integrating, a simple set of features, and services that will be used in the new ANZx customer propositions.
You’ll leverage ANZx new product master (Zafin) to define what is possible from a product, pricing, bundling, rewards, billing and controls perspective. You will also help define requirements and integrate capabilities across other Cross Product Platform systems and more broader ANZ systems and ensure both the new, and current propositions work in parallel and are well managed.
There is an expectation that you will have a strong understanding of: the current product environment; the underlying technologies; and have a creative, customer mindset.
Success is:
- Simple, transparent, and flexible, features and services, that can be added and changed quickly, removing the current impediments. For example, customers’ ability to set and track their financial goals.
- 100% compliance with T&Cs, and an ability to prevent non-compliance before it happens.
- Well managed Zafin product changes.

What will your day look like?
- Engaging with stakeholders to uncover and understand both their stated and unstated needs, ensuring that these are represented in design solutions.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams on end-to-end customer journeys to define requirements, designs, and deliver product features.
- Making informed decisions which balance customer satisfaction, quality and risk, as well as managing the change which results.
- Developing innovative data-driven insights on customer needs and translating into user-centric solutions.
- Following through to ensure customer experience improvements are genuinely delivered – the work doesn’t stop at implementation
What will you bring?
- An intense passion and curiosity for customers, their needs and wants, putting them at the centre of everything you do.
- Genuine interest in our products and building new customer solutions, while making improvements to existing value propositions.
- Ability to define and articulate business and customer needs to inform decision making, asses and design solution outcomes and identify gaps.
- Experience managing initiatives end-to-end from requirements gathering, to testing and overseeing releases.
- Problem solving skills; ability to simplify complex processes and issues, challenge the status quo and suggest alternative solutions.
- Previous experience in financial services, banking products or expertise in one or more of the following disciplines will be highly regarded: Business Analysis, Change Management, Business Process Architecture.
