About the Role
As a Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in helping the Enterprise Climate Program to meet our Mandatory Climate Disclosure obligations.
You will be reporting into the CROP initiative workstream and you will be responsible for liaising with stakeholders to workshop, elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and/or information systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complexity, understands how the bank operates, and can bridge the business and the project and to drive meaningful outcomes.
Role Type: 11 Months Secondment
Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008
Work Hours: Full Time (40 Hours/Week)
What will your day look like?
As the Business Analyst, you will be accountable for:
- Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Gathering
Elicited business and data requirements from key stakeholders across ANZ Group, including New Zealand, with a focus on Climate and ESG initiatives. - Business Analysis & Problem Definition
Collaborated with SMEs to define business problems, success outcomes, and translate requests into actionable delivery requirements through workshops and consultations. - Technical Translation
Converted business needs into clear functional and non-functional technical requirements, contributing to high-level solution design and delivery planning. - Process & Documentation Management
Led process mapping, procedure documentation, and supported internal review, assessment, and control activities for project delivery. - Implementation Support & Testing
Supported system setup, staff training, and managed prototype testing with users to gather feedback for marketing, change management, and technical refinement. - Relationship Management & Adaptability
Built strong stakeholder relationships, coordinated with external consultants, and adapted to shifting priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Demonstrated Business Analysis, Project Management, planning and problem-solving skills across a broad range of projects
- Ability to help define and govern the approach to requirements gathering, eliciting business and solution requirements to translate customer needs & business goals into technical specifications, verifying, validating and communicating requirements/business analysis outcomes with stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills; and the ability to build relationships
- Display initiative with a demonstrated ability to manage time & priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment, with an ability to effectively prioritise multiple deliverables and determine the best sequencing to maximise outcomes.
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Knowledge of banking operations, financial processes, and commercial decision-making.
- Ability to navigate complex business structures and engage effectively with leadership.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and evolving regulatory landscape
