About the Role
As a Bereavement Services Team Leader in our Team, you’ll play a key role in helping to provide support to often vulnerable customers through leading and developing a high-performing team to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.
The Team Leader is responsible for maximising efficiencies through the effective and efficient management of the team. Key responsibilities include managing workflow / ATOM, staff rostering requirements, quality assurance checks, supporting the implementation of coaching and development plans to improve results, identifying, and implementing process improvements and people management responsibilities

What will your day look like?
As a Bereavement Services TL, you are accountable for:
- Actively drive the performance of the team to achieve key financial targets.
- Track and measure performance against set targets and objectives providing monthly feedback to all staff.
- Maintain SLA’s and monitor in terms of customer satisfaction and taking corrective action.
- Initiate, recommend, implement, and manage improvements on an ongoing basis. Measure the benefits of these changes.
- Identify, develop & implement improvements in practices and procedures on an ongoing basis with the view to creating an environment of constant improvement.
- Develop, coach and train team members to assist with cross skilling opportunities with a view to assisting other teams during periods of peak volumes.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
- Experience in providing coaching and feedback to support team growth and performance.
- A sound understanding in team processes and operational requirements of the team.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with challenging targets.
- Strong planning and co-ordination skills and has the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine concern and drive to continually sustain and improve quality and standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure and take accountability for outcomes.
