About the Role
This role sits within the Customer Engagement Assurance team who are dedicated to Line 1 Risk support for the Customer Engagement portfolio. They are responsible for supporting and contributing to business risk assessments, risk related change management, controls design and general assurance advice.
As the CE Assurance team member, you will be assisting with Assurance activities associated with Customer Engagement team’s risk profile including facilitating Operational Risk Assessments, Obligations Management, Control governance, and Risk Insights. You will also play an active role to drive improvement in Risk capability/culture/awareness and promote Operational Risk Management as a core capability.

What will your day look like?
This role is accountable for:
• Facilitating and participating in Risk Management Forums (RMFs) including preparation of specialist content
• Conduct and support central and divisional regulatory control attestations and other attestation activities as required
• Supporting the Business to successfully integrate and implement I.AM Amplified
• Support the business in actioning outcomes of thematic reviews and deep dives by Line 2 and 3, and other hot spots identified through trend analysis and audit support /issues.
• Support in the event of internal Audit reviews that span multiple Portfolios and/ or value chains incl. coordination and assistance with responses
• Maintaining and managing risk data completeness and quality in NFR Hub
• Coordinate and manage data for NFR Hub reporting (e.g. RMF reporting)
• Supporting the Business with reviewing their risk profiles and control environment. Overseeing and supporting the Business with risk treatment plans. Overseeing and supporting the Business with regular risk reviews (e.g. High/Extreme risk reviews etc)
• Providing support to the Business on conducting change risk impacts and risk assessments (incl. ORAs) and how to manage risks related to change implementation
• Working with the Business and Control Owners to develop remediation plans
• Supporting the Business and Control Owners in developing effective controls to manage key risks
• Identifying and developing opportunities to automate and simplify the controls environment
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
• Experience in retail distribution; and/or experience in risk management/ compliance OR internal / external audit
• Ability to collaborate with the business to develop effective operational risk management solutions
• Able to develop and use analytical insights and data to identify opportunities to better balance risk with customer propositions and help drive critical business decisions by analysing metrics, designing reports and writing risk submissions
• Desire to create a thorough understanding of how our customers and bankers relate and react to embedding risk management in everyday activities
• Willingness to look at things differently, challenge the status quo and innovate
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build relationships through a collaborative approach
