Audit Manager & Senior Audit Manager - Corporate Centre

Req ID:  104231
Department:  Internal Audit - Corporate Centre
Division:  Internal Audit
Location:  Melbourne

About Us

At ANZ, we're shaping a world where people and communities thrive, driven by a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.

About the Role

Are you passionate about making a real impact through audit and assurance? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement are valued? If so, we are looking for talented individuals like you to join our team!

Internal Audit (IA) serves as the independent third line in ANZ’s three lines of defence (3LOD) governance model. Our IA function is made up of multiple teams that work together to help the bank move at pace safely, leveraging our enterprise-wide perspective and independence.

We currently have both a fixed term and permanent opportunity available within Internal Audit’s Corporate Centre Division.

These opportunities are key to delivering internal audit reviews aligned with the annual audit plan, focusing on risk assessment, control evaluation, and assurance across the bank:

  • Audit Managers (12-month fixed term) execute audit engagements of medium complexity, conduct fieldwork and research, and support senior leaders with insights. They help assess risk profiles and anticipate changes in the control environment.
  • Senior Audit Managers (permanent) lead more complex audits, integrating behavioural analysis with traditional audit methods. They specialise in Treasury (including liquidity and funding, capital adequacy, securitization) and credit risk reviews, collaborate with Group Credit Assurance (GCA), and ensure audits remain responsive to regulatory and strategic developments.
Both roles contribute to strengthening risk management and supporting the bank’s safe, effective, and forward-looking operations.

Work Hours: Full time, 40 hrs/week
