About the Role
An Associate Director, Project & Export (PEF) Finance is responsible for contributing to the delivery, execution and ongoing portfolio management of PEF transactions for our customers. You will work closely with colleagues across PEF, Coverage, Risk, Operations and Non-Financial Risk. The role requires engagement with customers across sectors including Natural Resources, Infrastructure, Energy and Digital Infrastructure. Many of these sectors are undergoing significant change and your role is to support our customers’ transition and capture growth opportunities through the financing of large-scale projects on a limited recourse basis.
This role combines origination and execution with financial and non-financial risk management as well as portfolio oversight.

What will your day look like?
You will be accountable for:
- Developing productive relationships with key stakeholders in relation to the preparation and execution of transactions.
- Credit analysis, preparation of credit memorandum, term sheet negotiation and documentation for new to bank customers.
- Opportunity to lead the end-to-end transaction execution of refinancings of existing customers.
- Assist with the retention of existing clients and generate value by building productive client relationships to ensure ongoing dialogue on financial performance and banking requirements.
- Maintain credit quality by ensuring all credit related matters have been addressed and escalated, including the identification of adverse trends and potential risk events including providing clear and insightful reporting to senior management and governance forums.
- Support the ongoing credit management of the PEF portfolio and maximise returns by the timely preparation and management of Scheduled Reviews, Financial Monitoring, Waivers and Consents requested by the Borrower.
- Maintain compliance with relevant policies, procedures, product standards and approval requirements.
- Contribute to the speak up culture within PEF.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Many years of relevant experience in corporate, project, acquisition or structured finance.
- Understanding of relevant market, business and economic trends.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong influencing, networking and relationship skills.
- Strong risk assessment, cashflow analysis, financial modelling and transaction documentation.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, law, business or a related discipline.
