About the Role
As an Assistant Manager in our Team, you’ll play a key role within the Relationship Credit Team, supporting a Senior Relationship Credit Manager. The Relationship Credit Team are primarily responsible for supporting Relationship Managers in deal structuring and execution by conducting financial analysis and credit strategy recommendations for designated customer groups, as well as assisting in maintaining a Well Managed portfolio. The Relationship Credit team allows Relationship Managers to be able to focus on customer origination and servicing.

What will your day look like?
As an Assistant Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

Support our Relationship Credit Managers in making banking easier for customers, providing customer solutions, and insights,
-
Conduct financial analysis and develop and implement appropriate customer strategies,
-
Establish and maintain a professional profile in the market and maintain an understanding of the customer’s industry and associated markets,
-
Work collaboratively with other internal work functions and stakeholders, and
-
Demonstrate living the ANZ Values with customers and colleagues.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
-
Great financial literacy, analytical skills, commercial and business acumen,
-
Strong analytical ability to assess and interpret implications of financial trends,
-
Prior experience in developing strong relationships in a customer delivery/ customer experience role,
-
Sound understanding of the structuring of security arrangements,
-
Experience in the banking industry is an advantage, but not a requirement, and
-
Preferably possesses an accounting or finance degree or equivalent, though not a strict requirement.
