About the Role

 

Reporting to the Senior Assistant Group Company Secretary, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a small team that provides best practice Board governance and corporate reporting services in respect of ANZ’s listed parent company and ADI, including assisting with associated regulatory matters.  This is a new role that is focused on listed company services including managing dividend/distribution payments and other corporate actions.  It will require a strategically minded and experienced governance professional who has strong attention to detail and planning skills and who can bring a continuous improvement mindset to the team.

What could your day look like?

 

  • Planning for and managing corporate actions including ANZ’s Ordinary Dividend and Capital Notes Distribution payments and being a key point of contact with the share registry
  • Managing share plans including administration of the Non-executive Director Fee Sacrifice Plan
  • Continuous and periodic disclosure including managing stock exchange lodgements and compliance with associated rules
  • Managing substantial shareholder reporting processes
  • Reviewing Board papers and assisting with Board Committee planning
  • Reviewing/recommending governance improvements in the team’s processes and policies
  • Responding to governance questions from across the ANZ Group
  • Having input on various reporting tasks.

 

What will you bring?

 

  • Experience managing corporate actions and large projects
  • Governance Institute of Australia qualified or in the process of gaining such qualification preferred
  • Breadth of governance experience in a listed environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Proven track record in leading process and policy improvement/simplification
  • Strategic approach to governance and mindset promoting growth and change.
