About the Role

As AI becomes increasingly embedded in everything we do in the bank, ensuring its responsible and ethical use is critical

The AI & Data Ethics Manager plays a key role in safeguarding trust, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory, customer and societal expectations

Role Type: 12 Month Fixed Term
Role Location: Melbourne
Work Hours: Full-Time

What will your day look like?

• Conduct AI & Data Ethics Assessments for AI initiatives across the enterprise
• Monitor new entries on the central Generative AI Register, review self-attestations against the Gen AI Guardrails, and meet with initiatives to validate information supplied
• Assist with preparing for the regular Enterprise AI Governance Forum, including liaising with AI initiatives who are presenting, preparing Gen AI use case summaries, following up on action items, taking and distributing Gen AI Forum Minutes
• Develop AI ethics risk management guidance for the business
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to embed ethical considerations into AI development processes
• Contribute to uplift of AI Governance Framework and AI Impact Assessments
• Monitor emerging trends, regulations and research in AI ethics and provide recommendations to ensure organisational alignment with current standards
• Prepare and present workshops and training sessions for ANZ staff on AI Ethics & Governance
  
  

What will you bring?

• AI Ethics and Governance – deep understanding of ethical AI principles including fairness, transparency, accountability and bias mitigation
• Financial Services and Regulatory Landscape – familiarity with AI Governance Frameworks and Standards in a banking context
• Risk Management & Compliance – strong grasp of operational, reputational and regulatory risks associated with AI in banking
• Policy & Framework Development – ability to design and implement AI governance frameworks, ethical guidelines and risk assessment processes
• Stakeholder Management & Influence – strong ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams, including risk, compliance, legal, technology, security
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or Certified AI Governance Professionals preferred
