About the Role
The First Nations Employee Journey Expert (EJE) will be part of the First Nations Talent & Culture Team (Human Resources) - accountable for executing initiatives, processes and programs to enable ANZ’s First Nations Strategy. The team has two priorities; improving First Nations representation and experience; and building cultural intelligence and capability across the broader ANZ workforce.
Role Type: 12M Secondment/Fixed-Term Contract
Role Location: Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane
Work Hours: Full-Time
What will your day look like?
In this role, you will be a valued member of the First Nations Talent & Culture team - a dedicated and collaborative team responsible for improving First Nations representation and employee experience at all levels of the organisation, and building safety, inclusion and cultural intelligence across the broader ANZ population.
This role is accountable for delivering team priorities focused on progressing the First Nations strategy such as:
- Working on initiatives and programs designed to increase recruitment, retention, development and engagement of First Nations employees
- Working on cultural learning, competency and safety initiatives and programs (from identifying needs, to design, to delivery)
- Regularly engaging with First Nations employees and candidates to deeply understand sentiment and experience
- Review and/or develop policies to support First Nations employment and/or cultural capability
- Data collection, analysis and reporting, to measure the impact and effectiveness of relevant initiatives and policy changes
- Support engagement with internal and external stakeholders, to build ANZ and the banking sector’s presence amongst First Nations as an employer and industry of choice.
- Working with and influencing others across Talent & Culture to embed actions, update policies/processes and implement change as needed.
What will you bring?
This is an identified role and therefore only available to individuals who identify as Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander.
This role would suit a variety of backgrounds but would ideally bring together the below skills:
- Experience implementing people initiatives and/or change into a business
- Experience in at least one of: Human Resources, Organisational Development, Organisational Change, Learning, Capability, Recruitment or related fields
- Strong cultural awareness of First Nations people’s needs, context and history
- Project and/or consulting skills
- Organisation and planning
- Problem solving
- Communication skills
- Data analysis and reporting
