About the Role
The Senior Spreading Analyst supports the manager in delivering accurate financial data extraction and analysis to enhance lending operations while ensuring alignment with risk management standards. You will be responsible for conducting financial spreading, validating data integrity, and producing reports that enable informed credit decisions across the business.
This role is integral to driving operational accuracy and efficiency by analysing borrower financial statements, reviewing supplementary notes, calculating ratios, and preparing standardized financial outputs for downstream stakeholders. You will also engage with internal partners such as Research & Analysis teams, Relationship Managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure timely and professional handling of queries.
In this role, you will contribute to process improvement initiatives, support regulatory reporting requirements, and uphold strong risk and compliance practices, including AML and sanctions-related standards.

What will your day look like?
As a Senior Spreading Analyst, you will:
- Ensure accuracy in financial statement spreading in accordance with FDE guidance and procedures.
- Deliver financial reports and outputs within agreed deadlines and service levels.
- Analyse and extract financial information from income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Review supplementary notes for adjustments and compute financial ratios.
- Present standardized financial data to support further credit analysis and prepare risk grading reports.
- Meet regulatory and internal reporting requirements while ensuring high levels of data quality and accuracy.
- Maintain and update customer limit records in relevant platforms, respond to stakeholder queries, and provide professional support across internal teams.
- Identify and escalate potential risk issues, ensuring adherence to compliance, AML, and sanctions requirements.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and projects assigned by management.
- Build effective working relationships, contribute to team activities, and support colleagues by fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin.
- Strong knowledge of loan products and standard lending operations
- Experience loan administration.
- Competence in credit risk management and understanding of complex local regulations and policies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective management, coordination, and communication skills.
