About the Role

 

As an Operations Manager, you will lead a Commercial Credit Team responsible for annual credit assessments of customers with up to $5M in total lending. Your role is to maintain and enhance team performance, and develop strategies that align with ANZ Commercial's objectives.

What will your day look like?

 

As an Operations Manager, you will:

 

  • Contribute to optimising cost to serve customers for Commercial Servicing through efficient practices, improved productivity and value add to business.

  • Ensure highest level of customer service support is provided to Relationship Sets to contribute to the business's profitability.

  • Has strong stakeholder engagement by proactively managing and addressing stakeholder concerns and objectives.

  • Ability to handle escalations from Stakeholders and other Managers.

  • Hold ultimate accountability for the performance of the Annual Review team.

  • Operate effectively and efficiently as part of a wider team and ensure team achieves annual operating budgets

  • Understand the needs of the Relationship Sets and customers to ensure service delivery to meet/exceed their and QA/ regulatory requirements.

  • Proactively reviews and implements improvements in practices and procedures to allow the team to exceed SLA targets and reduce complaints.

  • Ensure team is compliant with ANZ risk/compliance policies

  • Manages a highly effective, high performing team

  • Allocates work based on a balanced resource profile and ensures team's SLAs are met.

  • Coaches and Mentors Assistant Managers/team members.

  • Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer support for our frontline Commercial bankers.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders in Commercial banking, proactively managing, concerns, and identifying opportunities to improve their experience, 

  • Strategic Thinking: Possess exceptional strategic thinking skills, enabling them to develop, implement, and manage long-term plans that align with ANZ Commercial's strategy

  • Change Management: Review and implement practices to exceed SLA targets and contribute to ANZ Commercial's goals. Demonstrate the ability to lead and manage organizational change initiatives effectively, supporting the business through transitions, ensuring smooth implementation of new processes, systems, and strategies

  • Risk Management: Ensure compliance with ANZ's risk and compliance policies. manage non-financial risk proactively,  and assist in Commercial Banking's well-managed agenda

  • Operational Excellence: Implement efficient practices and improve productivity to enhance value for ANZ Commercial Operations.
