About the Role

As an Events Coordinator within our Divisional Performance & Execution team, you will help manage customer in-person and virtual events across our Australia Commercial business nationally. As the most important part of our business, you will engage and manage relationships with our customers in a thoughtful and careful manner. You will support the relationships they maintain with their bankers, whilst connecting them with senior leaders, other customers, and industry thought leaders.

What will your day look like?

As an Events Coordinator, you will support customer events across Australia and: 

 

  • Manage events end-to-end (including location sourcing, catering, invite & RSVP management, run sheet, MC/speaker organisation as required, AV logistics organisation, and marketing/branding collateral support)

  • Plan events strategically with senior leaders to ensure full year event timings are planned to ensure appropriate resourcing

  • Maintain key relationships/information sources for key event speakers i.e. ANZ economists, etc

  • Liaise with bankers to ensure accuracy of customer information

  • Source customer and banker feedback and ensure the implementation of feedback to ensure continual improvement

  • Utilise appropriate systems and software to ensure best customer and banker experience

  • Work collaboratively with the Australia based events team to deliver seamless event experiences

  • Ensure that the highest standard of customer information privacy is maintained

  • Provide key support with calendar management of senior Commercial Distribution leadership.

  • Engage with Business Performance Leads and Segment Managers to forward plan key calendar events

  • Support Senior Leaders with travel arrangement and logistics.

  • Handle desktop management of key event management tasks (bookings, RSVP, name tags, adhoc travel bookings etc), with coordination with Customer events team as required.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Prior experience in (end-to-end) customer events management and coordination 

  • Experience in the coordination of business activities to achieve set objectives (including financial management, resourcing, risk, and business continuity)

  • The ability to anticipates, understands, and responds to evolving customer and banker needs

  • The ability to manage and influence relationships (with the ability to adjust style to different contexts and audiences)

  • The ability to monitor and communicate risks associated with any activity, function or process

  • The ability to initiate, plan, execute, control, and embed an initiative, product, program, campaign, process, procedure, or change

  • The ability to plan and prioritise what needs to be done (including people, process and technology implications)

  • Excellent time management skills

  • An understanding of the Australia Commercial Division business (a plus)

  • Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Suite of applications 

  • Proficiency in the use of JIRA/Confluence (a plus)
