About the Role
As a Financial Control Specialist, you will help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, support compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and uphold the Group’s accounting policies and internal controls. You will contribute to maintaining the integrity of financial results, drive continuous improvement aligned with the Future of Finance agenda, and help strengthen governance across the organization.

Role Location: Solaris One Building, 130 Dela Rosa St. Legaspi Village, Makati City
Role Type: Permanent, full-time
Shift Schedule: Dayshift schedules will be adhered to
What will your day look like?
This role is responsible for:
- Daily Oversight: Review and oversee daily operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, control compliance, and appropriate issue identification and escalation.
- Annual Financial Statement preparation: To help prepare and review Annual Financial statements including the corresponding schedule and notes to FS. Manage the team and coordinate with onshore and external auditors in submission and completion.
- Process Owner & SME: Act as the subject matter expert and owner of centralized Finance Control processes, ensuring standardized and consistent execution across Manila.
- Onshore Interface: Serve as the primary point of contact for process, month end and control matters, partnering closely with onshore stakeholders to align operations with statutory, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Process & Systems Acumen: Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and apply Finance Control process flows, system functionalities, and end‑to‑end operational dependencies.
- Accounting Standards & Policy Knowledge: Apply working knowledge of accounting standards and Finance policies, or demonstrate strong learning agility and practical application of these standards in day‑to‑day oversight.
- Process Improvement: Drive and support re‑engineering, simplification, automation, and centralization initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and control effectiveness.
- Risk & Control Management: Identify risks, control gaps, and inefficiencies, and support remediation activities to strengthen the overall control environment.
- Cross‑Team Support & Capability Building: Provide coverage for peers and contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and capability uplift across the Finance Control team.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related discipline; CA / CPA preferred
- Exposure and Background to Annual Financial Statement preparation and submission. Background in audit is a plus.
- Demonstrates interest in process re‑engineering and continuous improvement
- Extensive years’ professional experience within financial services or regulated environments
- Deep working knowledge of financial controls, including design, operation, and oversight
- Strong process, controls, and systems acumen, enabling effective process excellence and change delivery
- Proven ability to identify, implement, and embed improvements to processes and reporting
- Highly articulate communicator with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
