What will your day look like?
In particular, this role is mainly responsible for:
- Managing the accounting and reporting function to support the Financial Controller in generating accurate and timely financial information for Group Capability Centre - GCC CFOs of Manila and Bangalore.
- Ensuring that all local statutory requirements are adequately met such as finalizing the Financial Statements for all GCCs.
- Ensuring timely submission and adherence to government mandated reports and other local regulatory reporting obligations.
- Managing the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations on a timely basis for all designated entities by ensuring a robust balance sheet reconciliation & substantiation process is in place and adhered to.
- Successful candidate is expected to calculate, review and validate GCC’s Service Transfer Pricing (STP) while working closely with the Melbourne Global Tax Transfer Pricing Team. Also, oversee the timely collection of STPs to mitigate expected credit losses and compliance with STP agreement (i.e. Advance Transfer Pricing Agreement - APA for GCC Bangalore).
- Successful candidate will assume people manager role to support career development plan of his/her direct reports which aligns to their role priorities and career aspirations and accordingly ensure employee welfare.
- Hired candidate is expected to embed simplification, standardization and elimination of financial control activities/processes as appropriate and drive projects within the GCC space to improve efficiency and productivity
- In line with ANZ’s regulatory standards, policies and procedures, he/she will ensure the compliance to all ANZ accounting policies, including but not limited to review of journals, validation of supporting documents for period end activities and completing the necessary checks and controls to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information (proactively engage Group Accounting Policy as required).
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- A Bachelors’ university degree, preferably a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)
- Professional experience in PH Local Finance setup and in supporting a continuous improvement initiative
- Solid working knowledge and experience in Local Regulatory and Government compliance (BIR, SEC, PEZA, BOC, BIR, etc.)
- Experience in presenting regulatory and finance matters, including issues and resolutions to stakeholders
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Experience in PH Local Regulatory compliance
