About the Role
As a Financial Control Associate, you will support complex accounting and reporting activities and assist Financial Controllers/Managers in delivering timely and accurate financial information to the BU Divisional Financial Control team. You will also help ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting obligations across the Business Unit.

Role Type: Permanent, Full-time
Shift Schedule: Dayshift schedules will be adhered to
What will your day look like?
As part of the Controls Centre of Excellence, your responsibilities include:
- Supporting Group Technology’s accounting and reporting activities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant outputs
- Maintaining financial integrity and controls for Technology-related processes
- Managing end-to-end centralized, country-agnostic processes (e.g., journals, reconciliations)
- Developing deep process expertise while remaining flexible across various CCoE functions
- Ensuring "quality at source" through strong process-level controls
- Supporting centralized data sourcing, accounting, and reporting services for in-country finance teams
- Contributing to standardized processes and control frameworks within the Data & Reporting team
- Delivering timely month-end outputs including registers, schedules, reconciliations, and trial balances, ensuring readiness for financial reporting and audits
- Supporting the BU change agenda, including simplification, automation, and elimination of manual activities in partnership with the FSDI team
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or equivalent, with a CA, CPA, or similar qualification
- Professional experience in the Banking and Financial Services industry
- Strong analytical and technical skills with high attention to detail
- Experience in driving continuous improvement, process optimisation, and control enhancement
- Exposure to or experience with process automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power Automate, VBA, SQL, Python) is an advantage
- A mindset focused on simplification, standardisation, and innovation
- Flexibility to build deep process expertise while supporting cross-functional work within the Controls Centre of Excellence
