About the Role
As a Regulatory Reporting Associate within the Regulatory Reporting/Oversight Team, you will acquire expert knowledge about complex regulations and will have a chance to be part of fast changing environment where knowledge about financial products is equally important as ability to see bigger picture and chase for improvements.
Along with a willingness to learn we require from you a “can do” attitude and a bit of curiosity.
As a Financial Control Associate, you will be responsible for the following:
- Acquired knowledge of Markets and Treasury products and familiarity with accounting standards related to financial instruments
- Executes production or oversight of regulatory reports following APRA Regulation. Understands regulatory domains and functions, striving to improve and innovate with tech solutions for the future.
- Performs investigations, ad-hoc analysis and queries from internal and external requests. Intellectually curious, eager to deepen knowledge of the regulatory landscape through research and data analysis

- Improves processes within Markets Regulatory Reporting working files and robustness of them by identifying and fixing common problems sustainably for continuous improvement. Ability to critically review and challenge numbers / strong analytical skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with an emphasis on connection, communication, and collaboration
- Flexibility to work under pressure to meet changing work requirements and regulatory deadlines. Proactive and self-starting individual with high levels of ownership.

What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field of studies and preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Proven experience in financial services roles
- Solid working knowledge of financial control within a financial services environment preferable exposure on Markets and regulatory/compliance reports.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives; knowledge in intermediate/advance Excel techniques, VBA, or data analytics tools will be an advantage
- Experience in presenting finance matters, including issues and resolutions to stakeholders
