About the Role

Markets and Treasury Financial Control (MTFC) is responsible for maintaining a robust control environment whilst producing financial reporting and analysis for the Markets and Treasury divisions. MTFC ensures the business is well managed from a financial and regulatory standpoint through the application of disciplined end-to-end trial balance control processes including but not limited to Balance Sheet (BS) & Profit/Loss (P&L) recognition and substantiation, through new trades review, P&L explain/attribution of all market and model inputs, price testing of trader marked inputs, defined valuation adjustments, analytical review and review of regulatory data, performance attribution, and FX/cash exposures management. 

As a Financial Control Analyst, you will have an opportunity to be exposed to a wide range of activities such as supporting the team in delivering timely and accurate financial information and ensuring that all statutory and regulatory reporting obligations across the Business Units are adequately met.The role is responsible for the financial integrity of the business by (1) delivering accurate, reliable and timely financial information; (2) managing month-end close activities including but not limited to accounting, P&L and Balance Sheet analysis and reconciliations, financial reporting and management reporting; and (3) working with various stakeholders to address business queries, resolve issues and support business requirements.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: 

• Knowledge of Markets and/or treasury products gathered through past work experience in Markets Finance (Product Control, Financial Control) 
• Knowledge of financial instruments accounting standards. 
• Proficiency in automation tools and have automation skills is highly desirable 
• Advanced MS Excel skills or ability to write macros is a plus
