About the Role
Front Office Support is a Middle Office function in ANZ in the Markets business with teams in multiple global locations. The team is responsible for supporting the business and client requirements around the management of products including but not limited to Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Rates and Credit.
As an External Reports Analyst, you will be part of a specialized team responsible for producing high-quality survey reports and enhancing reporting processes. Your role supports the delivery of accurate, timely, and well-controlled outputs that align with industry best practices and internal standards.
Your role will be part of a team located in Sydney and Manla that specialize in:
- Designing processes for new requests
- Enhancing existing production processes and controls to follow best practices.
- Producing survey reports and supporting the function to streamline/automate the production of existing surveys

What will your day look like?
- Report Production: Compile and produce survey reports with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness, ensuring exceptions are investigated and escalated appropriately.
- Onshore Team Support: Provide support to the onshore team based in Australia in the production of reports ensuring alignment with local requirements, timelines and quality standards.
- Process Enhancement: Contribute to the design and improvement of reporting processes and controls to align with best practices and regulatory expectations.
- Automation & Streamlining: Support initiatives to automate and streamline existing survey production workflows, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual effort.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams including Front Office Sales and Trading to stay informed on market developments relevant to survey content.
- Data Analysis: Apply data-driven approaches to improve reporting quality and efficiency, leveraging insights to inform process improvements.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of processes, controls, and reporting standards to ensure consistency and transparency.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Proven experience in data reporting, analysis and process improvement.
- Strong understanding of financial markets products, particularly Bonds, FX and Rates.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with VBA or Python is advantageous.
- Familiarity with banking systems such as Murex is a plus.
- Data driven decision making and ability to build data driven processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across teams.
- Self-motivated and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Energized by tackling complex problems, use my critical thinking, network, skills, knowledge and available data to drive better outcomes for our customers and the bank.
