About the Role

 

As a Business Analyst within the Financial Crime Delivery and MI team, you will provide support to ensure strategic and operational objectives are achieved in line with agreed service offerings. The role is responsible for several key areas:

  • Lead the delivery of process improvements and BAU/project initiatives to ensure each initiative is delivered in a stable and sustainable manner while providing the best experience to stakeholders.
  • Ensure the Financial Crime delivery framework and governance are followed for every change.
  • Ensure all risk-related activities in change and ANZ Delivery Framework (ADF) processes are completed with the correct level of governance.
  • Identify opportunities to create efficiency gains, mitigate risks, and improve operational performance through automation, process redesign, and transformation.
  • Lead the delivery of medium to large process improvement changes and BAU/project initiatives.

What will your day look like?

 

As a Business Analyst, you are accountable for:

  • Leading and delivering small to medium-sized initiatives end-to-end, including (but not limited to) requirements gathering, solution design, project planning, project governance, business implementation activities, and executing risk-in-change processes.
  • Supporting senior Business Analysts in the delivery of larger initiatives.
  • Contributing to and driving Delivery Excellence to increase delivery capability within the Delivery team and the Financial Crime Portfolio.
  • Promoting and role-modeling delivery excellence best practices and creating learning opportunities.
  • Identifying and understanding business problems and assessing the impact of proposed solutions on the organization’s operations.
  • Ensuring adherence to the FCP Delivery Framework and the ANZ Delivery and Governance Framework.
  • Leveraging business analysis skills to define and articulate business and customer needs and drivers to inform decision-making, assess and design solution outcomes, and identify capability gaps (people, process, and technology).
  • Managing effective and efficient delivery while addressing risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Managing project stakeholders across FCP and other divisions.
  • Monitoring stakeholder satisfaction and using insights to deliver stakeholder-centric solutions and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Triaging new work requests to determine and document all impacts.

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • A results-driven self-starter with a passion for delivery and the ability to work across large and medium initiatives.
  • Proven experience in facilitating requirements elicitation and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into user stories and support technical development and testing of solutions.
  • Experience in evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Proven experience in creating and managing business implementation activities, including risk-in-change processes.
  • Strong background in change management activities and techniques.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with strong influencing and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience in facilitating training for stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Familiarity with project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • At least 5+ years of equivalent experience in project delivery, governance, and change management.
  • A proactive attitude to take on responsibilities that add value, simplify practices, and drive efficiency.
  • Broad knowledge of laws and financial crime obligations locally and internationally.
  • Knowledge of financial crime (desirable).
