About the Role

As an Assistant Manager, Front Office Support, you will be responsible for supporting the growing Global Markets business and providing assistance to ANZ’s Balance Sheet teams both in Hong Kong and globally.

 

The ANZ Markets business has Balance Sheet teams across multiple jurisdictions and entities worldwide. Funding Support, as part of the wider Front Office Support team, is responsible for assisting the business with cashflow forecasting requirements in multiple currencies to ensure sufficient liquidity is available to process customer and bank payments.

 

Based in Manila, this role will primarily support ANZ’s Hong Kong Markets business. It is part of the broader Front Office & Client Support group, which has a presence across several global locations and provides support across various branches and currencies.

Role Type: Permanent, full-time

What will your day look like?

  • Support the growing Markets business and its Balance Sheet team in Hong Kong, while also providing additional support to the global Front Office Support team.
  • Oversee Front Office and Balance Sheet queries on cash and liquidity projections across multiple currencies, with a primary focus on CNY and HKD.
  • Manage and triage events and issues as they arise, while proactively identifying potential problems and proposing solutions for the business.
  • Ensure that all services delivered comply with ANZ Group governance requirements, policies, processes, and standards, as well as all legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Contribute to fostering a strong collaborative culture and positive team dynamics consistent with the Bank’ values

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Proven experience or knowledge of the RTGS/CMU and FPS systems in Hong Kong would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in funding and cash flow forecasting is also beneficial.
  • Understanding of Markets Middle Office processes and exposure to Front Office trading platforms such as TLM, Murex 2, and Murex 3 is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of key asset classes, including Foreign Exchange, Rates, and Credit.
  • Strong work ethic, supported by prior experience within a financial institution. Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with business stakeholders while maintaining excellent customer service and robust internal controls.
  • Excellent punctuality and strong time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is advantageous.
