As a Chief Financial Officer, ANZ Global Services and Operations Manila, you are primarily responsible for leading the Finance function with accountability to ensure the provision of accurate and timely financial information in a well-managed and controlled environment for the local Manila entity. Focussing on the management of non financial risks by minimising and mitigating operating risks we face in financial reporting is imperative.

What will your day look like?
The Chief Financial Officer role will lead the country finance team to provide both professional and strategic financial support and advice to the business and ensure a robust control environment is maintained to safeguard the integrity of the financial information that meets the expectation of our external auditor and regulators
As a Chief Financial Officer, your key accountabilities will also include:
- Ensuring that all statutory and regulatory reporting obligations for the local entity in Manila are adequately met.
- Oversee the provision of appropriate support to ensure accuracy and timeliness of month-end and periodic delivery requirements (including statutory and regulatory reporting), registers, schedules, reconciliations, trial balance, and ensuring accounting services are completed to support financial reporting and successful audit completion.
- Driving a continuous improvement mindset within the team, simplifying the work that we do.
- Key point of contact for the Manila Group Capability Centre Managing Director (“MD GCC”) and, on behalf of the MD GCC, you will be required to deal with local regulatory bodies
- Provide business partner services to the MD GCC, and will represent Finance in meetings with local senior management (e.g. MD-led decision-making committees including the local EXCO and others that may involve financial performance matters etc)
- Help to drive the performance agenda for the ANZ in Manila.
- Improving non-financial risk management as the highest priority for the Group and the CFO plays a pivotal role in driving this mindset across the entity more broadly.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA or equivalent with extensive years of professional experience in Finance roles
- Experience with statutory and regulatory accounting within a banking/financial services environment for a shared services entity in Manila will be beneficial
- Experience in identifying and mitigating operating risks within Finance processes as well as across an organisation more broadly
- A team leader and player coupled with excellent interpersonal skills. One who enjoys leading teams, and working within a team to achieve common goals, as well as building effective stakeholder relationships to achieve outcomes together
- Excellent communication skill both written and verbal
