About the Role

As a Business Analyst within Talent & Culture, you will collaborate with project stakeholders, including senior leaders, to analyze information, understand the organizational context, and complete business analysis activities. You will manage requirements throughout the project or program from start to finish, ensuring all documentation meets ANZ Delivery Framework standards and deadlines.

 

You will be responsible for planning and delivering business analysis activities, leading projects, and continuously improving analysis approaches. You will also mentor business analysts and project coordinators, proactively communicate with stakeholders, and ensure a clear understanding of project objectives and benefits.

What will your day look like?

As a Business Analyst, you will;

  • Establish and manage the business analysis approach and work estimates and provide input for the development of the project plan/schedule.
  • Adopt and adapt Business Analyst methods and tools, ensuring effective requirement elicitation is employed and maintained.
  • Develop requirements that are fit-for purpose and accurate.
  • Produce high quality Business Analyst artefacts which are clearly defined and accurately documented and meet business needs and other project stakeholders and consumers of the requirements such as the Technology and business teams.
  • QA and peer review other team members business analysis artefacts and deliverables
  • Provide advice and validate requirements with the business and project stakeholders and making recommendations as required to meet those requirements.
  • Build collaborative relationships with colleagues and business partners to enable objectives to be achieved.
  • Identify and raise risks and issues, adhere to change control processes and requirements traceability and management throughout the life of the project or programme.
  • Actively manage the expectations of key project stakeholders including senior stakeholders.
  • Display a positive and professional attitude with a collaborative approach and actively support the project team in the successful delivery of the project.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Talent & Culture Integrated Delivery involving people, process, and tools.
  • Support the development of business analysts and project coordinators in the team through coaching and mentoring.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following;

  • Extensive experience as a Business Analyst involved in medium to large projects of varying complexity, from low to very complex
  • Extensive experience and detailed knowledge of business analysis tasks, planning, elicitation techniques, documentation, presenting and managing requirements and other business analysis artefacts.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in working on a number of types, sizes and complexity of projects, including agile and hybrid delivery models.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; developers, architects, testers, product owners, subject matter experts, vendors and senior stakeholders
  • Experience in providing direction and support to a team of Business Analysts within a specific project/program of work through coaching and mentoring.
  • Solid understanding of different delivery lifecycles, disciplines, and procedures.
  • Can appreciate difficult problems to solve them and work autonomously on tasks with significant complexity and provide leadership to the project or programme.
  • Ensures timely completion of the agreed deliverables,
  • Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work.
  • Project delivery experience
  • Compliance and regulatory experience
  • Various delivery model experience – waterfall, hybrid and agile
