About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Banks and Diversified Financials, Europe, this role plays a key part in origination, execution and supporting client relationship management within the European Banks business which is critical to the FIG Europe franchise.

This role offers the opportunity to develop and manage relationships with an existing portfolio of clients, while also supporting the origination of new business. It provides strong long‑term career prospects and exposure to a broad range of products and solutions. You will work closely with specialist partners across Institutional Corporate Finance, Markets and Transaction Banking, leveraging innovative and tailored solutions to meet the complex and bespoke banking needs of clients within the Banks and Diversified Financials sector.

What will your day look like?

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:       

• Originate new business opportunities in partnership with senior team members and product specialists.
• Retain and grow a profitable client portfolio by consistently delivering high‑quality client service.
• Build strong client relationships through a deep understanding of customers’ businesses and financial needs.
• Develop and leverage a strong internal network across coverage, credit and product teams.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Research & Analysis, Credit, Treasury, Legal and Product Partners to ensure successful deal execution.
• Coordinate with Finance and Business Management to support portfolio and performance management.
• Analyze revenue trends within the client portfolio to proactively identify risks and growth opportunities.
• Demonstrate strong risk awareness, adhering to credit policies and managing operational, reputational and regulatory risks appropriately.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Strong understanding of financial markets and the broader financial services industry.
• Experience in a Relationship Management or Product role supporting Banks and/or Diversified Financials clients.
• Good understanding of the markets and transactional banking product sets.
• Demonstrable credit analysis and risk assessment skills.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to identify client needs and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Willingness to learn, with a clear growth mindset and commitment to professional development.
• Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders across coverage, product and risk.
• Strong client engagement and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and sound judgement in a regulated environment.
• Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business or Accounting is preferred.
