About the Role

The successful candidate will work side by side with a Relationship Manager across a portfolio of diversified SME Commercial businesses.  There has been significant opportunity for growth and building relationships with existing and new customers, while also working with the support of a close-knit team in a highly collaborative environment.  This role is responsible for providing support for relationship bankers through the completion of key business activities. They are primarily responsible for supporting Relationship Bankers in growing new and existing customer revenue by conducting financial analysis and credit strategy recommendations for designated customer groups.

What will your day look like?

As  Assistmant Manager, you will have the opportunity to: 

•     Support our Relationship Managers in making banking easier for customers, providing customer solutions, and insights
•     Conduct financial analysis and develop and implement appropriate customer strategies,
•     Establish and maintain a professional profile in the market and maintain an understanding of the customer’s industry and associated markets
•     Work collaboratively with other internal work functions and stakeholders, and
•     Demonstrate living the ANZ Values with customers and colleagues.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

• Excellent customer focus with genuine curiosity for understanding customer drivers and delivering solutions to meet their needs
• Work well in a high paced and complex credit environment
• Strong knowledge of financial statements and credit assessment skills (background of sound business lending)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and technologically savvy
• Ability to work autonomously
