About the Role
As a Manager, Asset Management Unit, you are responsible for region allocated such as Solomon Islands and leads the recovery strategy and milestones for the oversight of high-risk Retail and Commercial accounts (CCR 7+ to 10, up to A$1.0M exposure). You will lead the customer engagement, ensuring effective rehabilitation, minimal loss, undertaking recovery action, executing recovery strategies and compliance with governance standards and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities include customer engagement, financial analysis, forecasting provisions, collaboration with support officers, resolution of complex delinquency cases and stakeholder communication. You will also support the credit decision-making with delegated authority, drives continuous process & reporting improvement and maintaining a “no surprises” environment.

What will your day look like?
• Deliver on agreed financial plan for AMU Solomon Island and Pacific. Overall responsibility of the high-risk Retail and Commercial accounts graded CCR 7+ to 10 and up to A$1.0m in lending exposure
• Actively assess and manage customer’s portfolios to ensure customers financial positions are managed effectively through the AMU cycle.
• Exercise thorough credit worthiness assessment and sound decision-making utilizing CAD based on credit principles and policies.
• Drive engagement with stakeholders (Country CRO, Commercial Product to ensure effective and efficient Recovery operations.
• Ensure the customer management function continually provides specialist advise, support and outstanding service to the branch network.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure optimal E2E AMU operations and agreed standards are achieved by monitoring workflow activities and outcomes. Related operational efficiency initiatives are initiated, implemented, and managed.
• Ensure processes are executed to align with AMU Policies and Processes, Operating Risk policies and any appropriate country regulations.
• Maintain strong connectivity between E2E AMU teams across markets, credit risk and product teams.
• Ensure country officers are aware and adhere to Pacific "well managed" principles with respect to file strategies, CADs, timely returns, appropriate financial assessment.
• Work with the country AMU teams to ensure they adhere to global risk and compliance policies by the maintaining the team's adherence to confidentiality and privacy in handling customer's information, compliance with ANZ Group Policies and Code of Conduct, Debt Collections Guidelines, etc.

- Proven experience in credit, collections, recoveries, or financial control within business operations
- Ability to engage with customers in challenging financial situations, demonstrating empathy while setting clear expectations during difficult conversations
- Strong business acumen with in-depth understanding of financials and core business fundamentals
- Self-managed, highly motivated, with excellent time management skills
- Skilled in negotiation and influencing outcomes
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities
