About the Role
As an Associate Director, LM Rates Trading in our Markets, you’ll resposible for driving revenue growth all classes and delivering financial targets for the Rates trading particularly and overall Trading desks, while maintaining strict adherence to risk, compliance, and regulatory frameworks. This role requires strong engagement with sales and clients to ensure competitive pricing and effective execution, alongside promoting collaboration to maximize overall business outcomes. It involves overseeing trading activities, strengthening risk awareness, and implementing robust controls to minimize operational and transactional risks. As a senior leader, the role also focuses on building a high-performing team by attracting, developing, and retaining talent, while fostering a strong culture aligned with organizational values, governance standards, and disciplined performance management.

What will your day look like?
Financial
- Maximise Local Markets Rates Trading revenue
- Promote collaboration to achieve LM Rates and overall LM Trading financial targets
- Shape the Markets business model and geographic footprint to reflect our priorities
Process
- Work with product & sales heads to jointly manage product lines’ risk, profitability & compliance in Local Markets Trading
- Improve Risk Awareness & Risk Culture and ensure limit management & compliance with all internal and external requirements
- Ensure all activities undertaken by traders meet internal policies and procedures whilst maintaining safe and fair markets
- Implement &monitor identified front office control checks and deal processes to limit transactional processing risk issues and prevent operational risk/trading errors
People
- Ensure desk is well managed by employing, developing and retaining appropriately qualified and experienced staff
- Demonstrating high levels of engagement, and performance is managed proactively & effectively
- Ensure sharing of best practice across business
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and manage interactions professionally
Customer
- Promote sales-trading cooperation and engage with sales team to maximize client flow contribution for revenue growth
- Ensure consistent, competitive and timely pricing to internal & external customers
