Ko Mātou – About Us

Kia Hanga I Te Ao, E Ora Ai, E Tupu Ai, Te Tangata Me Te Kainga. At ANZ, we’re shaping a world where people and communities thrive, driven by a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.

Mō te tūranga - About the role

We’re looking for two motivated customer-focused professionals to take on a Mobile Mortgage Manager role. This is a unique opportunity to work autonomously while truly making a difference in the lives of home buyers. You’ll be guiding customers through one of the most important journeys of their lives – buying a home – and supporting them with personalised advice every step of the way.

You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy building trusted relationships and driving meaningful outcomes.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Supporting customers through the full home loan process, from initial conversations to settlement and beyond
  • Delivering standout service and helping customers consider their full financial wellbeing, including insurance needs
  • Building and maintaining relationships with external partners like real estate agents, accountants, and lawyers
  • Collaborating across ANZ’s Personal, Business and Private Banking teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Following compliance, risk and quality standards to ensure advice is consistently reliable and responsible
  • Attracting Home Lending customers to ANZ through proactive leverage of internal and external networks.

Role Location: Invercargill / Southland

Role Type: Permanent, Full-time

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like

No two days are the same – and that’s what keeps it exciting. You’ll be empowered to make decisions, manage your time, and work in a way that suits both your customers and your lifestyle.

Here’s a snapshot:

  • Meeting with customers – in person or remotely – to understand their home lending goals and tailor solutions
  • Working flexibly from home, an ANZ location, or out in the community
  • Analysing complex financial data to assess home loan affordability and make credit recommendations
  • Actively growing your business by developing a strong referral network of influencers and professionals
  • Sharing insights and collaborating with internal teams to deliver the best customer outcomes
  • Representing ANZ with pride in local events and financial wellbeing workshops

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?

We’re not just looking for a set of skills – we’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about people and wants to make a positive impact. Whether you’ve worked in home lending for years or are looking to step into a role where your drive, empathy and commercial instincts can shine, this could be the opportunity for you.

You’ll be someone who:

  • Builds trust easily – with customers, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Works confidently on your own, while staying connected to a broader team.
  • Brings strong experience in financial services or lending, with a solid grasp of income and expense assessment.
  • Is proactive and solutions-focused – you see opportunities, not just tasks.
  • Has a clear understanding of the regulatory landscape and knows how to navigate risk with care.
  • Takes pride in delivering high-quality outcomes and always puts the customer first.

You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills. At ANZ, we embrace a growth mindset at the heart of our culture, so if you possess most of these capabilities, we would love to hear from you.
