About the Role

 

As an Advisor – Talent Acquisition / Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will deliver end-to-end recruitment support that helps the business attract, engage, and hire top talent.

 

You will act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and candidates across International Banking’s various markets, creating a positive recruitment experience while championing inclusive hiring practices. You will provide expert guidance throughout the hiring process, maintain accurate recruitment data and systems, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team. Success in this role will be driven by strong stakeholder partnerships, operational excellence, and commitment to ANZ’s diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives.

What will your day look like?

 

In this role, you will be accountable for the following:

 

Recruitment Delivery and Stakeholder Partnership

  • Understand business needs and deliver end-to-end recruitment outcomes across relevant segments.
  • Partner with stakeholders to achieve successful hiring outcomes, while advocating and championing diverse hiring practices.
  • Receive, prioritise, and manage recruitment requirements, taking ownership of the hiring manager and candidate experience.
  • Resolve recruitment-related issues in line with appropriate policies and procedures, while keeping the hiring manager and candidate experience front of mind.
  • Conduct sourcing to identify business-critical skill sets, build talent pipelines, and meet hiring requirements.

 

Data, Governance, and Risk Management

  • Maintain data integrity through accurate, up-to-date records and robust data governance.
  • Support internal risk assessments, control design, testing, and risk remediation activities.
  • Analyse process breaks, identify root causes, and implement preventative controls.

 

Advisory, Collaboration, and Continuous Improvement

  • Act as a subject matter expert by providing functional advice and guidance to colleagues.
  • Connect end users to the right processes, policies, and solution providers within and across teams.
  • Engage specialists and other Talent & Culture colleagues to investigate and resolve queries where appropriate.
  • Use insights from queries and process issues to identify and drive improvements that create efficiencies.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies within the squad and broader Talent and Mobility team.

  • Solve unique problems that require judgement, drawing on prior experience and continuing to build capability.

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Extensive global or regional talent acquisition experience, with deep recruitment expertise across talent segments such as International Coverage, Markets (Front to Back Office) Corporate Finance and Business Execution.
  • Strong knowledge of the local talent market and current hiring trends in the countries supported
  • Proven stakeholder management capability, including experience partnering with complex or challenging stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities, work at pace, and deliver ahead or within deadlines.
  • Disciplined approach to maintaining accurate, current recruitment records and data.
  • Experience in internal recruitment across geographies, complex enterprise environments, or financial services and banking will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to read and write in Mandarin or Cantonese is preferred.
  • Knowledge of local recruitment regulations across multiple jurisdictions would be advantageous.
