The Regulatory Reporting Associate is critical to making this happen. This role is part of the regulatory reporting team for Hong Kong reporting to the Head of Regulatory Reporting, Hong Kong. The regulatory reporting team is responsible for the accurate and timely submission of regulatory reporting, and ensuring the maintenance of supporting frameworks, processes and controls to support this reporting.
The role is part of the Financial Control (FC) community of practice, with the principal accountabilities being:

Interpretating HKMA completion instructions, analysing and compiling returns / surveys / census

Regarding HKMA GDR / HKMA Return automation for ANZHK, working with project team and various departments on data mapping, performing relevant User Acceptance Test and Trial Runs as required, timely report testing progress and test results to the project team

Building and enhancing required process documentations for the compiling process of returns / surveys / census

Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements

Formulation, implementation and monitoring of the Group’s accounting policies and internal control frameworks

Integrity of the numbers by delivering accurate, reliable and timely financial information

Driving the Finance of the Future simplification agenda, ensuring consistency with objectives and a focus on continuous improvement

Embedding a strong governance culture
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
-
Tertiary qualification and a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)

Experience in regulatory, statutory or risk roles within the region
-
Strong initiative and proactive attitude to drive a continuous improvement culture
-
Professional experience within the Banking & Finance sector
-
Excellent knowledge of the Institutional and Corporate business
-
Keen understanding of the strategic, financial and operational aspects of business
-
Strategic thinking coupled with strong execution and delivery focus
-
The ability to build long and sustainable relationships with stakeholders and customers
-
Sense of urgency and is solution oriented to the delivery of work

Sound management and influencing of stakeholders

The ability to collaborate with individuals and teams

Highly organised approach to work

The ability to keep sensitive information confidential

Advanced written and verbal communication skills
