About the Role
As a Director, Institutional Sales, you will be accountable for the engagement, advice and successful execution of risk management solutions across a range of interest rate, foreign exchange and commodity products to large corporate clients & MNCs based in Hong Kong.
Role Type: Permanent, Full Time
What will your day look like?
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Delivering Markets Sales economic profit to plan or better, targeting sustainable returns.
- Continuing to develop the best Markets Institutional sales business for customers driven by regional trade and capital flows.
- Aligning our product platforms and processes to support and increase client engagement via electronic / digital platforms.
- Supporting customers in navigating key trends such as energy transition and sustainability, digitisation and infrastructure investment.
- Conducting client analysis using interest rate and foreign exchange risk management modelling.
- Implementing and monitoring identified front office control checks and deal processes to limit transactional processing risk issues prevent operational risk/dealing errors.
- Maintaining close communication with Relationship Managers, to ensure customer information flows to and from the respective Business units within the Bank in a timely manner.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- A strong background in Markets Sales and extensive knowledge of the relevant markets, with significant sales experience with corporate clients (preferably Hong Kong Corporates) across multiple asset classes.
- Extensive knowledge of Markets products, processes and regulatory frameworks for countries in Asia that ANZ operates.
- A strong customer focus and ability to develop strong relationships.
- Experience in dealing with internal and external stakeholders and negotiating with clients and stakeholders at all seniority levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong analytical skills. Proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is preferred.
